Brynje Arctic double Balaclava.

Unrivalled warmth and performance for the coldest days.
Brynje Arctic Double is the warmest base layer in the Brynje range.

Used by Military Special Forces teams, skiers and mountaineers amongst others.

Brynje Arctic Double is the warmest base layer in the Brynje range. Made to be worn as a base layer in cold conditions, or as a layering piece, this innovative mesh and merino combination delivers warmth and wicking performance when you need it.

An outer Merino layer of 220g/m2 combined with an inner layer of Polypropylene mesh. This traps air to keep you warm, while allowing your body to breath. Moisture vapour is  released through the mesh, and away from the body. This allows for excellent body temperature regulation in cold conditions.

    • Exterior of 80% Merino wool and 20% polyamide
    • Weight: 80 g
    • Material Weight: merino 220 g / m2
    • Material Weight: net 140 g / m2
  • Washing your Merino Wool product

    • Machine wash on wool program
    • Do not use chlorine or soak garment
    • Use wool detergent that does not contain enzymes / bleaches.
    • The garment should not be tumble-dried .
    • Remember not too much laundry in the washing machine.
    • Wool does not get dirty in the same way as other clothing, therefore, it is not necessary to wash it as often

A great product, Brynje items always excel and this meets their quality standard. I love the blue colour and the fabric.

Brynje Balaclava

Unused as yet: bought in advance of a Lapland trip on the professional advice of Rhodri.
However, I am able to say it fits well

Wouldn’t have been without it!

Great balaclava for extreme temperatures down to -30c. Great quality and very comfortable under parka hood and helmet whilst snow mobiling and night time conditions in artic conditions.

Soft, warm, and everything you want in a balaclava

Just got back from a cross-country skiing expedition above the Arctic Circle in Norway. I was so worried about getting cold, but after reaching out to Rhodri with Nordiclife, who has experience with these types of expeditions and conditions, he recommended a number of items and this was one of them. It's soft, warm, breathable, and kept my face warm even in snowy, -32 C conditions. I would also wear this at night because of the added warmth it provided and it's so soft.

I've been a fan of merino wool baselayers for years, but Brynje base layers are my new favorite. They're much softer than Icebreakers or Smartwool base layers. They do everything you want merino wool base layers to do; breathe, wick moisture, don't smell even after wearing for several days, and keep you warm.

I'm in the US, but because of exceptional customer service, I decided to shop through Nordiclife and pay a little extra for international shipping. Rhodri made buying and shipping these items overseas easy and it was worth every penny. I'm a customer for life!
